Introducing Group Piano Lessons for Students Ages 3+
We are delighted to bring group piano lessons to Harborfields Music Center. Group music lessons are an innovative concept that is proving to provide the best start for beginner musicians. Children love to learn with their peers and are not expected to learn in a private setting for any other activity. The key benefits of this program include:

We will be using the KeyNotes Piano program for our youngest students and the Piano Express program students ages 6+. Each program uses themes and stories for each workbook, songs to play and illustrate each part of the story/theme, listening and composing tasks to nurture creativity, differentiation worked into the curriculum, and a clear set of objectives for each lesson, workbook, and level. Each child will have their own keyboard for use during the lesson, provided by Harborfields Music Center.

Pre-Notes (Ages 3 - 4):
Fostering Independence in Growing Minds Through Music!
Pre-Notes is an early years piano prep program for our pre-schooler community. It aims to develop all the skills needed to prepare our youngest learners for more formal piano learning: nurturing their sense of pulse, rhythm, pitch, patterns, singing, and exploring the piano through improvisation. With our topic-based approach, we inspire children to think musically about the world around them, such as playing pinching crabs and floating jellyfish on the piano. You can expect singing, moving, tapping, playing, and even crafting in these highly creative and impactful classes. Each group is capped at 6 students per session.

Little KeyNotes (Ages 5 - 6):

Little KeyNotes is a beginner piano program for 5 to 6 year-olds, where we learn through singing, tapping, playing, and reading. We engage and inspire children to be creative in their learning when they consider musical concepts such as pitch and dynamics in relation to farm animals, weather, and sea creatures through our five themed workbooks. Through games, songs, dancing, and playing, they learn the notes of the piano, basic rhythms, and finger numbers, plus they gain technical skills.
