🎶 What an Incredible Week! Songwriting & Music Tech Workshop Highlights 🎹✨
Wow — what an unforgettable week at Harborfields Music Center! Our 2025 Songwriting and Music Technology Week sessions were bursting with creativity, excitement, and discovery as students learned to turn their ideas into real music. From crafting lyrics and melodies to producing beats, mixing tracks, and performing their own songs — the results were nothing short of inspiring.
Throughout the workshops, students explored how to:
🎧 Use technology to create beats, add sound effects, and mix their own music
🎹 Understand intricate rhythm, learn about BPM (beats per minute) and key signatures
📝 Learn how songs are structured, Write lyrics, craft melodies, and refine their creative ideas into full songs
The energy and creativity from our students were incredible!
One student said, “We wish we had this in school… I’d do this every day!” – Finley
Another asked, “Can we do this every week or every month?” – Ceylan
Conor was so inspired he couldn’t sleep and spent the night creating music with his dad at home.
Lyla proudly brought her family in to hear her perform her new song — and they were moved to tears.
A couple of kids didn’t even want to close their laptops on their way out of the building, still buzzing with ideas!
It was a week filled with innovation, confidence, and pure joy, as students discovered how technology and creativity come together to bring music to life.
We hope this spark continues — and that our young musicians keep writing, producing, and expressing themselves long after this week.
